You're sharing something irreplaceable. This page explains how StillSaid handles your archive, what we collect, what we do not do with your data, and how your keepsake is delivered.
These are the principles the service is built around.
Your messages are processed only to create your keepsake. We do not use your archive to train our own models, and we do not allow it to be used for model training by service providers involved in processing your keepsake.
We do not sell your messages, your intake responses, or your keepsake. We do not share them for advertising, marketing, or data brokerage purposes.
We use a small number of trusted service providers to help us securely receive files, process archives, and deliver the final keepsake. They are used only for those operational purposes.
Once your keepsake has been delivered, your original message export is deleted from our systems within 7 days, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
During intake, you can tell us what topics, people, or types of content you want excluded. You will have a chance to review the keepsake before it is finalized.
The keepsake file you receive is password-protected, and we send the file and password separately for added security.
To create your keepsake, we collect:
We collect this information only to create, review, deliver, and support your keepsake.
Your archive is processed using AI tools to help identify meaningful moments, recurring phrases, patterns, themes, and language that may be worth surfacing in the keepsake.
If we use third-party AI providers to process your archive, we configure those services to minimize retention and to prevent your content from being used for model training, where those controls are available.
After processing and delivery, the raw archive is deleted according to the retention window described above.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your archive for advertising. We do not build marketing profiles from your messages. We do not use your archive to train AI models. We do not publish, share, or reuse your archive outside the process of creating your keepsake.
We also do not require you to create an account to receive your keepsake during early access.
We use basic website analytics to understand traffic to the StillSaid site — for example, how people find the site and which pages are visited.
These analytics apply to the website only. They do not access, read, or analyze your message archive or the contents of your keepsake.
Your keepsake is delivered as a self-contained HTML file that works offline. It does not require an ongoing account or internet connection to open after delivery.
The file is password-protected, and we send the file and password separately to reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
During early access, uploads are handled through Proton Drive using unique upload links. Files are encrypted in transit and at rest by that service.
After your archive has been processed and your keepsake has been delivered, uploaded source files are deleted from the shared folder in line with our retention policy.
We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the service, communicate with you about your keepsake, and complete delivery and support.
You can contact us to ask questions about how your data is handled, request deletion of your archive or related information, correct information you provided during intake, or ask us not to include certain content in your keepsake.
If anything on this page is unclear, or if you want to request deletion of your data, contact us at hello@stillsaid.com.
